(The late) Geeta Narasimham, of Software Technical Services Inc, immigrated to the US in 1971 and earned a bachelors degree from the University of New York at Albany, NY and an Associate Science Degree in Computer Science from Gwinnett Technical Institute, Atlanta, Ga in 1985. With a vision to create an international company that would promote globalization of the information industry, she co-founded STS in 1983 and held the position of CEO until her un-expected early demise in January 1996.
During her tenure as CEO, STS grew from a small office to a multi-million dollar operation in 1995, employing over 350 professionals nationwide. STS was placed 193rd in the Inc 500 listing in 1992.
For her founding and development of STS, Mrs. Narasimham was the proud recipient in 1994 of the Blue Chip Award presented by the United States Chamber of Commerce. She was also a trustee member of the Atlanta Hindu Temple, and an active leader in the local Indian community.
